Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 小黄书视频 Panther Athletes of the Week for February 12鈥�18, 2024, are Sydney Cummins (women鈥檚 basketball) and Jace Colley (men鈥檚 basketball).

A nursing student from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Cummins is an effective and pivotal member of the team, especially on the defensive end. In the February 16 win over the Cape Breton University Capers, the third-year guard put five points, seven rebounds, and five assists off the bench.

鈥淪ydney's impact on the team has been huge, especially in the second semester, as we make this push to playoffs,鈥� said head coach Matt Gamblin. 鈥淪he is a glue player and consistently shows her toughness day in and day out, with hustle plays, taking charges, and putting her body on the line.鈥�

Colley is a business student from East Preston, Nova Scotia. He was exceptional in Friday's must-win game. The fifth-year forward scored a team-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting with 13 rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and an assist in a 79-78 win over the Cape Breton University Capers.

鈥淧laying almost the entire game, Jace gave us a tremendous effort,鈥� said head coach Darrell Glenn. 鈥淗e led us on offence with a team-high 22 points and anchored us on defence with 13 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Jace plays at an elite level, and we鈥檙e looking forward to seeing what he can do during the AUS Championships this weekend.鈥�
